Electronic ignition S&S HI-4N harley davidson 70-99 valid for HD models Big Twin 1970-1999 and Sportster 1971-1990
Single or double spark ignition system with multiple functions in a very compact unit. It has four switches for each mode of operation, ignition curve and speed limiter (1500-9000 rpm / min)
The modes of operation are as follows:
- Single fire
- Dual fire
- OEM ignition curve
- Racing curve
- Kick start
- Electric start
A very robust aluminum housing protects the electronic components against vibration, moisture and dirt, and improves heat dissipation.
The temperature markers on the flange make it easy to set the ignition point.
A slot creates space to place the cable. The sensor / magnet housings are integrated in the strong base plate, which protects the magnets (samarium / cobalt) in the assembly. In addition, it contains the so-called flow concentrators that increase the magnetic force field, for precise and reliable ignition.
For street use, the manufacturer recommends using ignition coils of 2 Ω minimum. Ignition coils with more than 4 Ω can reduce system power.
